2007 Arcane Cellars Syrah
Rogue Valley, Southern Oregon

This dark beauty has aromas of black currants and licorice, with subtle floral overtones. Intense raisin, blackberry jam and caramel flavors are balanced with fine structured tannins. The wine has a smooth round finish with dark chocolate, anise and molasses notes. Serve with steaks, chops and roasts or game meats such as duck or venison. This Syrah is produced from grapes grown in the warm climate of the Rogue Valley. A blend from several vineyards with volcanic soils, it was aged for 16 months in 30% new French and American oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
