From the volcanic jory soils of the Dundee Hills, this Pinot Noir has aromas of black cherry, dry leaves, smoke and cedar. Fine, integrated tannins provide a pleasing structure and a supple, smooth velvety texture to the wine. On the finish, there are lingering flavors of strawberry jam, caramel, vanilla and cloves.

"The 2008 Pinot Noir Vista Hills Vineyard Pinot Noir Reserve spent 16 months in barrel and was bottled without fining or filtration. It gives up a super-expressive nose more on the red fruit side of the spectrum. Spice box, underbrush, cherry blossoms, strawberry, and raspberry aromas lead to an elegant, velvety-textured wine with plenty of succulent fruit, good volume, excellent length, andaging potential. Enjoy from 2012 to 2020. 91 Points"

"The 2008 Pinot Noir Rowan’s Reserve Laurel Vineyard was sourced from a 25-year-old parcel, aged in barrel for 15 months, and bottled without fining or filtration. It displays an exotic, even kinky perfume of smoke, Asian spices, incense, and wild black berries. On the palate it is dense, plush, concentrated, and layered with plenty of underlying ripe tannin and lively acidity providing balance. Drink this pleasure-bent effort from 2012 to 2020.
